Black Wool DOUBLE BREASTED Civilian Paletot. Size 48. Used But In Great Shape!

PHOTO NOTE BEFORE WE BEGIN:
In the photos the coat and lining are coming out lighter in color than they are in person. The coat looks dark charcoal gray and the lining looks purple.  However, this is just the effects of the bright lights and camera flash as the coat and the lining are in fact
solid
black.
So here’s what we have .…
On consignment with us is this
size 48
double breasted black wool civilian paletot which the seller indicates originally came from South Union Mills. Over the years the coat was worn just a couple times and thus remains in beautiful condition inside and out. NO rips, tears, repairs, fraying, etc nor any odors whatsoever (tobacco smoke, cologne, musty closet, etc).
Made in lightweight 100% all-wool fabric and is entirely machine sewn. However, it does have hand sewn "keyhole" pattern button holes which the seller had added. He also mentions that he had the 7/8" black
silk
covered buttons added to replace the black wooden buttons that originally came with the coat.
Additional features found on this coat are rolled collar & lapels (w/ a flower button hole in the left lapel), three outside pockets: one on the upper left breast and two lower (left and right) waistline pockets. Each of these external pockets has a cover. The rear tails are split and there are two 7/8" black silk covered buttons on the rear waistline seam. The coat is fully lined in the body w/
black polished cotton and the sleeve linings are a fine weave white cotton broadcloth (not muslin). There are no inside pockets in the body lining.
The bottom of the coat is fully hemmed with NO raw edges showing.
